Early in his career, Rohit often came across unhappy clients who didn’t receive what they sought due to mistranslations during the projects. These issues were resolved by Rohit, who listened to and understood the clients’ needs. His team saw the value in him communicating and translating what was needed. Rohit says that the time he spent as a sales representative was his best experience. It allowed him to get direct feedback from customers and became customer-centric. During my tenure, I have enabled customer obsession across several organizations through data-driven decision making instead of leading with executive opinions.” 

Rohit understands that Data is at the center of all decisions. One can have a winning mix in many aspects of business including sales, customer service, and marketing. 

Rohit also made it a point to enhance customer experience. Rohit measured the customer experience using things such as net promoter scores, CSAT and task completion rate. His strategies have helped increase revenue growth by enhancing customer experiences. His team was able to increase e-commerce sales by 360% at his company, and generate almost $1 billion in revenue for another Fortune 500 firm. His operational perspective is also noted. “We improved return on ad spends (ROAS). While we had a large amount of paid media spending, our investments were not yielding even 1:5 returns. A small group of AdTech experts was hired under a leader who is a skilled leader. They were supported by data-driven decision making in real time. This led to an increase in ROAS of less than 1:1 and up to 1:2.5 within a short period of time. I don’t think there is any agency that you can hire, that even they can do it in one year, but we did it with our in-house paid media team.”

Rohit believes that marketing technology will see a maturer return on investment. Companies currently waste 60-70 percent of their investment in marketing technologies. Rohit predicts that more companies will combine ecommerce with marketing technology in order to provide better customer experience and support business growth.
